The (so-called) problem classes are a fundamental tool in any scientific discipline. Traditionally, these sessions aim to reinforce concepts that may be more or less challenging within the field. However, they should be understood as a training process that enables students to tackle any problem—broadly speaking—that they may encounter in their professional careers. It is in this spirit that the book offers fully solved programming exercises in the C language. Its main goal is to help readers acquire and consolidate their knowledge of structured programming methodology through guided exercises of varying difficulty. In addition, the early chapters also present algorithms using flowcharts, making the adopted approach more accessible.

The content progresses gradually in complexity: it begins with the basic control structures (sequential, iterative, and conditional), followed by fundamental static data structures such as vectors and matrices. The book then introduces functional blocks of programming, C functions, records, dynamic memory management, linked lists, and files.
